2. Scope of Service

This service provides editing and refinement of existing written work, including improvements to clarity, structure, organisation, and academic style.

The service does not include:

  • creating new content or arguments

All work is based on the material provided by the client.

3. Client Responsibility

The client remains fully responsible for:

  • the content, arguments, and accuracy of their work
  • ensuring the work meets assignment or institutional requirements
  • reviewing the final edited version before submission

The client is also responsible for ensuring that their use of this service complies with their institution’s academic policies.

4. Academic Integrity

This service is intended to support the refinement of academic work and must not be used in a way that violates academic integrity policies.

The client is responsible for:

  • ensuring originality and avoiding plagiarism
  • the appropriate and ethical use of any AI-generated content
  • declaring the use of AI where required by their institution

No responsibility is accepted for any academic or institutional consequences arising from misuse of the service.

5. Interpretation and Meaning

Every effort is made to preserve the original meaning of the text. However, where the writing is unclear or poorly structured, edits may involve reasonable interpretation to improve clarity.

The client must review the final version carefully to ensure that the intended meaning has been accurately maintained.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

While every effort is made to improve the quality of the work, no guarantee is given regarding academic results, including grades, pass marks, or publication outcomes.

7. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are based on the information provided by the client, including word count, academic level, and condition of the text.

If the submitted document differs significantly from the original description, the quoted price may be revised.

8. Turnaround Time

Turnaround times are agreed based on the scope and condition of the work. Urgent deadlines must be agreed in advance.

No guarantee is made for completion within extremely short timeframes unless explicitly confirmed.

9. Revisions

One round of revisions may be provided where a justified issue is identified within the agreed scope of work.

Revision requests must relate to the original instructions or agreed areas of improvement. Additional revisions or requests outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.

10. File Format and Compatibility

Edited documents are typically returned in Microsoft Word format with tracked changes enabled.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have compatible software to access and review the edited document without loss of formatting or functionality.

No responsibility is accepted for issues arising from incompatible software or file conversions.

11. Confidentiality

All client materials and information are treated as strictly confidential and are used solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Where necessary, work may be carried out by carefully selected editors working under contractual confidentiality obligations and in accordance with the standards of this service.

Documents will not be shared, distributed, or reused for any other purpose.
